BOOKS, ESCAPE AND NEXT STEP.

Hello, Namaste.. Welcome back to another post. Today I am penning down some behind the veil aspects of being a student. This a response post to the comment I received on my last one.

DISCLAIMER : This is my view and opinion and I totally respect all of your views on this matter. This is in no way intended to be disrespectful or to cause any intentional conflict.

Now, let's dive into this.

I was suggested to share about my preparations, escape from studies and future plans. Let's start by saying that I'm the wrong person to ask this query.

I am a person who is very much against the board examination, different set question paper system. It is a minor plot hole invisible beneath the big picture. It is the inequality hidden in plain sight, which is embedded into the fabric of this democratic country. Think about it, it will make sense.

I don't believe in a specific mode of preparation. And I think it's wrong to have a socially accepted method to prepare for exams. These so called methods may not work for everyone. We should study the way we want to, when we want to. It's upto us to decide what works best for us.

I'm not in any way disciplined in my studies. I don't invest every other second in books and start prepping 5 months in advance. I'm more of a spontaneous kind. But the one thing I would stress on is time management.

This is something I follow diligently. I do make sure that I have specific time assigned for studies. Other than this one aspect, nothing is stagnant about my preparations.

Please don't go searching for 'ways to study properly' on the internet. They don't know what is right for you as much as you do. As I said before, I believe in doing what I feel like is best.

People say to wake up early in the morning to study and that it is very helpful. It maybe. But it is not necessary that it should work for everyone. Trust me, I speak from experience as it doesn't work for me.

I am a night owl as supposed to an early bird. I always sit up late at night, like properly late, and wake up at about 10 in the morning. I cannot bring myself to wake up early and study as I'm always gonna be half asleep.

There are so many ways to study. You can sit or walk or read or write or even sing... if it helps. Do what works for you but make sure it works for you.

Now, coming to the escape from the boredom of studies, I prefer three mediums: Books, Internet and Food.

I'm either eating something, surfing across YouTube or indulging in a bit of reading.

It is important to have enough breaks so that you would be motivated to keep studying. And thankfully, my dear mommy also makes sure that I don't burn my head off in books. [As much she screams to study all the time.]

But again, have a set time limit. That's always very important. We don't want our leisure interfereing with our studies or even vice versa. It is not an easy task to handle the two of it with equal importance, but we will get there soon.

After all the examination mayhem, the next popular question-What next?

The future lies in the future, let's focus on the present. The only thing we need to know, I believe, is where our interest lies. We should have a vague idea of what we are passionate about. Then it's all upto my spontaneity.

And for some reason, my last minute leaps have always worked for me. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone, as I know how people admire goals and ambitious approaches. But I love being uncertain about things and discovering them as I move ahead.

Having said all that, it depends on us and us only to decide how we want to make our way through.

One thing I'd like to suggest would be to keep a lid over the anxiousness, if you have any. Please don't be stressful or full of tension about anything in life really. It's never gonna be of any use, other than pushing you downhill. Be happy, cheerful and confident no matter what.

With that we come to an end of this therapy session.. 😂KIDDING

I am not sure if this is going to be of any help, but I did try my best.
